Özet

This study aims to analyze the views of Ibn Miskawayh who is known a famous philosopher, on justice and economic justice. In accordance with this aim, firstly information is given about justice and economic justice. What he attributes to these concepts is evaluated in the context of his works and the explanations of scholars working on Miskawayh. According to Miskawayh, behaviors and their provisions can be defined natural justice if they conform to the laws determined by the Creator who has absolute power. Such an understanding of justice can be achieved through good morality that permeates the soul. He performed works and studies in fields such as ethics, logic and history on the basis of social, political, legal and economic justifications. His books Tehẕîbü'l-Aḫlâḳ and Taṭhîrü'l-A’râḳ and Tecâribü’l-Ümem and Teʿâḳıbü’l-Himem which contain important parts of his assessments of how justice and economic justice can be achieved, describe the ruler and society that can perpetuate justice and high prosperity. Justice and economic justice can be established when the entirety of daily life and activities which find meaning through their mutual interaction can be operationalized through equitable policies. It is possible to establish a well-functioning structure through practices that protect, safeguard and develop productive sectors. Consultation in management and the common sense that emerges as a result of this consultation will revive the state and the nation. Otherwise, a ruler will emerge who is disconnected from society, lives in pleasure and enjoyment and loses control. Miskawayh's analysis is important in order to avoid such situations.
