Özet

Amphibians developed various defensive strategies in order to be protected from predators and increase their survival success. One of these behaviors is called "immobility", in which during threat of predator attacks, amphibians stand still and then curl their tails and heads inward to show the "threatening" body coloration to the predator. Here, we report two cases of defensive behaviours in Southern banded newt from Mersin (Southern Anatolia) and Balkan crested newt from Manisa (Western Anatolia) under terrestrial stages.
