Özet

Söke, which is located just across Samos Island, will face the problems caused by the Greek population during the National Struggle period as well as before. Especially the island of Samos has become the home of the Greeks who carry out such activities. Greek bandits from Greece and the islands did not only cause loss of life as a result of the murders they committed by merging with local Greek gangs. They also usurped the belongings and animals of Muslim Turks by engaging in robbery and plundering activities. The Greeks in Söke carried information to the enemy by carrying out propaganda and espionage activities as well as banditry during the occupation period. In this study, the changes in the attitudes and behaviors of the Greeks of Söke after the occupation and the activities of the Greeks in and around the town of Söke will be discussed. The Aegean Islands, located across Anatolian lands, pose a significant threat and danger today as it was yesterday. The article also aims to draw attention to this danger once again by mentioning the Greek and Greek activities in the Aegean Islands during the occupation period.
