Özet
Background: The development of diagnostic and therapeutic photomedicine in recent years has necessitated the determination of optical properties of tissues. Scattering and absorption coefficients are the basic optical properties of biological tissues and can be used for the diagnosis of various diseases. Aim: Scattering and absorption events will be examined in detail using the Inverse Adding Doubling (IAD) program over in vitro conditions. Methods: In this study, the optical properties of the tissue sample are determined using the IAD program. To determine the optical properties of the tissue, the program needs the experimental measurement results of total reflection MR and total transmission MT. First, an estimation of the optical properties (μa, μs', and g) of the tissue is made and MR and MT values are calculated using this estimation. Secondly, the values calculated with the program are compared with the experimentally measured values. Finally, if they match, the prediction is confirmed, and the optical properties of the tissue are found. If they do not match, a new set of optical properties is estimated, and the process is repeated. Results: In this study, MT and MR values were taken from the available data. The sample tissue used in these data is 1mm thick and a single sphere with a diameter of 5mm of the illumination beam is used. The wavelength ranges from 800 to 1000 nm. The optical properties of the sample were determined with an error of 0.01. Discussion and Conclusions: The next step of the study is planned to test the optical properties of actual tissue samples of different thicknesses and structures.
