Abstract

In this study, Sunius hakkariensis sp. nov. is described from Hakkari province, southeastern Anatolia, Türkiye. A description of a new species is complemented with, photographs and line drawings of some morphological characters. A total of 44 species of Sunius are now known to occur in Turkey, 40 of them are distributed only in this country. For eight Sunius species known in Türkiye, new and additional records are reported from this country as well as from Bulgaria, Czechia, Lebanon, Morocco, Russia and Spain.
