Özet

From 1932, to begin to efforts to establish a people's house in Demirci. Promotion, member registration activities and tea banquets were organized for the people's house by the Demirci Republican People's Party. The work yielded results in 1938 and the official opening of The Demirci People's House was held. The first studies were carried out in the CHF district building. On the other hand, the search for a new location continued. The mesjit, formerly known as Yoncal & imath;k, where the Trade Cultural Center is now located, was transferred to the Republican People's Party. The building was renovated, and then various events were held in this building. The People's House became the intellectual centre of Demirci. Programs and courses were held for women, children, youth and adults. In the following years, community rooms were opened in the villages of & Uuml;& scedil;& uuml;m & uuml;& scedil;, & Ccedil;& ouml;& gbreve;& uuml;rler/& Ccedil;ataloluk, Durhasan, Yarbasan and K & imath;lavuzlar. The events were delivered to the villages. The people of Demirci also benefited from this enlightenment campaign. Developments were followed with radios taken to The People's House. Theater plays were performed and concerts were organized. Cutting-sewing courses were opened for women. The activities of The People's House were followed and directed by the CHP General Secretariat. It became a public outreach center for CHP during the multi-party period.
