Abstract

Domene zylasp. n. (Manisa, Bozdağlar), a hypogean species of the genus Domene from western Anatolia, Turkey, is described. The genus is now represented in Turkey by five species, four of which are hypogean. This species was collected with a subterranean pitfall trap in the mesovoid shallow substratum (MSS trap). A key to the hypogean Domene species of Turkey is presented. Additional records of six Domene species are reported from France, Morocco, Spain and Turkey. Domene camusi Peyerimhoff and D. cantonsi Español (Morocco) have been photographed for the first time. A distributional checklist of the subterranean species in the Western Palearctic Region is compiled. http://www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:1B7B90DC-D4CA-47E7-91BB-B4EEEE75AC39 http://www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:4A8CD196-F4A0-42F7-AF20-E3F5082EC75F.
