Lipomas are rarely seen in childlhood, Tumor location may be deep or superficial. Especially deeply localized lipomas may reach giant dimensions. In this study, a 9-year-old girl who presented with an abdominal mass and a giant lipomotous mass excised from the retroperitoneal region is reported. Histopathologic examination of the mass was lipoma. Recurrence was not observed in one year followup. The case was presented because of the rarity, of giant adipose tissue tumors in childhood.
