Özet

A comparative study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of lodoxamide tromethamine vs sodium cromoglycate and dexamethasone sodium phosphate in experimental allergic conjunctivitis in 45 rabbit eyes. The animals were randomly divided into 3 groups and treated with Iodoxamide, cromoglycate, or dexamethasone. Blood-conjunctival permeability index and the weight of the conjunctiva were used to quantify the ocular inflammatory reaction. Iodoxamide was more effective than sodium cromoglycate but not dexamethasone in the treatment of acute allergic conjunctivitis.
