Abstract

A new species of the genus Favognathus Luxton, 1973, Favognathus manisaensis sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on the females and males collected from soil and litter under Pinus sp. and Cornus sp. in Manisa and Izmir Provinces, Turkey between 2011 and 2013. The new species is closely related to Favognathus distortus (Kuznetsov, 1974) and Favognathus bafranus Dogan, 2008. A key to all known species of Favognathus from Turkey is provided.
