Özet

In this paper, a Jacobi collocation method is developed for the solution of the fractional convection-diffusion equations with variable coefficients by using orthogonal Jacobi polynomials. This method is based on finding matrix relation of the equations terms and using collocation points. Also, fractional derivatives are described based on the Caputo sense. Our method is very systematic and by creating an algorithm, any type of fractional convection-diffusion equations can be solved with ease in a mechanical way. By comparing the results, it is shown that the Jacobi polynomial solution gives better results than some other known methods.
