Yazar ve akademisyen Nazan Bekiroğlu’nun Lâ Sonsuzluk Hecesi romanı, modern mesnevi olarak okunmaya müsait inşa ve muhtevasıyla dikkat çeken bir eserdir. Yazarın Hz. Âdem ve Havva’nın, yani aslında bütün bir insanlığın hikâyesini anlatma çabası olan bu roman, ayetlerle sabit bir bilgiyi, bu bilginin sahihliğine halel getirmeden yeniden inşa edebilmek ve metafizik olarak nitelenebilecek bir âlemi mekân edinmek gibi birtakım zorluklara rağmen kaleme alınmıştır. Yazar, söz konusu zorlukların üstesinden gelebilmek için azami bir dikkat sarf etmiş ve eserinde çeşitli anlatım tekniklerini devreye sokarak bu hassas muhtevayı roman zeminine taşımaya çalışmıştır. Eserde yer verilen muhtelif anlatım tekniklerinden biri de tasvirdir. Çağdaş romanda -bazı istisnalar dışında- rağbetten düşen bu teknik, eserde oldukça farklı şekillerde kullanılarak yazarın anlatım imkânını genişletmeye yardımcı olmuştur. Bu çalışmada, romanda sıkça uygulamaya konan tasvir tekniğinin çeşitleri ve işlevleri üzerinde durulmuştur.
The novel Lâ: Syllable of Infinity by Nazan Bekiroğlu, a writer and academician, is a remarkable work with its structure and content suitable for reading as a modern masnavi. This novel, which is an author's effort to tell the story of Adam and Eve -that is, the whole of humanity- was written despite some difficulties, such as reconstructing a constant knowledge with verses without vitiating the accuracy of this knowledge and acquiring a realm that can be described as metaphysical. The author paid utmost attention in order to overcome these difficulties and tried to bring this sensitive content to the ground of the novel by using various narrative techniques in her work. One of the numerous narrative techniques included in the work is the depiction. With some exceptions, this technique, which is no longer in demand in the contemporary novel, was used in quite different ways in the novel, helping to expand the author's expression. In this study, the types and functions of the depiction technique, which was frequently used in the novel, were discussed.
