Abstract

In this paper, five marine macroalgal taxa are reported for the first time from Turkey [Dardanelles (Sea of Marmara), Ayvalik (Aegean coast) and Iskenderun Bay (Mediterranean coast)]: Myrionema conchicola, Compsonema minutum, Microspongium gelatinosum, Lomentaria ercegovicii and Osmundea pelagiensis. Data concerning geographical distribution, morphology, illustrations and ecology of each species are given. © 2013 J. Cramer in Gebr.
