Scopus, a citation database provided by Elsevier, is used as a data source in TUBITAK project evaluations and in the analysis of author and institution data. Therefore, the up-to-date information on this platform ensures accurate results in author and institution evaluations. Scopus creates author and institution profiles with the help of its algorithm. Thus, researchers do not need to create IDs. However, the algorithm obtains information about authors and institutions from articles published in journals indexed in Scopus. In this process, different identity numbers belonging to the researcher may occur in cases such as spelling errors in the publication identities of the articles or changes in author surnames. Therefore, authors need to log in to the system at certain intervals and update their profiles if necessary.
Also, the use of international identifier numbers by our university researchers is also important for various institutional processes such as preventing possible publication record and citation losses, getting institutional publication records from databases and accurately reflecting our university's position in ranking systems.
You can register your SCOPUS ID number in the system by using the "International Researcher IDs" tab under the "Profile Information" menu in the "Identity & Profile Information" field tab.
