Özet

Esophagectomy is currently a procedure that can impose a burden of high rates of mortality and morbidity on patients. In addition, considering the complications that thoracotomy may cause, thoracoscopy stands out as a choice that should be considered. In recent years, many studies have demonstrated the advantages of thoracoscopy. Thoracoscopy can be used in the thoracic phases of McKeown and Ivor Lewis esophagectomy operations. There are many technical points to consider. This chapter reviews the features, operative characteristics, and advantages of thoracoscopic esophagectomy in light of the literature.
